This trip isn’t just a “trip.” It isn’t a vacation. I will be working the entire 3 months I am here for a non-profit organization that is doing wonders in South Africa. It would mean the world to me if somehow you could help make this trip possible.
Adding up all of my expenses, this journey will cost around $5,000. Although that seems to be a ton of money (especially for a college student), which it is, I’ve long since decided it is worth it.
I don’t know who you are or how you stumbled upon this page. Some of you I might not even know personally, but you can participate and become involved by helping fund this mission. I feel like I am representing every single person who helped get me here. I feel God’s tug on me but I can’t do it alone. Any support would be appreciated greatly.
Why Africa? I went last summer not knowing what to expect, but in 2 days time, I knew I would be back. In 6 days time, I knew it would be this summer. It just feels right. Everything in my life pointed there and when I arrived the first time, my worlds aligned and I was never the same. I just want to help in any way possible. Even if all I can do is make an orphaned child, living with AIDS in a poverty-stricken community smile, I think the trip will be worth every last penny.
Jesus said, “The Harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” (Matthew 9:37-38)
